Julie L. Houlden, age 60, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home. She was born on December 10, 1954 at Stewart, Minnesota to Vince & Lenora (Arnoldt) McGraw.

She was born into a large, loving, Irish family where values of hard work and respect for all others were instilled. Julie moved to Nebraska at the age of 19 where she raised her children and shared her pride and belief in her strong Irish heritage. Julie loved deeply: her children, the love of her life Ed, her family & friends. She loved to help others, to make those around her feel welcomed and valued. She loved a hard day’s work, the warmth of the sunshine, cooking a great meal, and good conversation. Her loved lives on in the hearts of many.

She married Edward Houlden on March 23, 1991.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Meier, & father-in-law Melvin Houlden.

She is survived by husband Ed Houlden of Elwood, Nebraska

                             Daughters: Kate & husband Kevin Reiners of Elwood, Nebraska

                                                Betsy Hofman of Omaha, Nebraska

                                       Son: Jake Hofman of Elwood, Nebraska

Grandchildren: Carsen, Bryce, & Berkley Reiniers

Brother: Tom & wife Linda McGraw of Buffalo Lake, Minnesota

Sisters: Hannah & husband Tom Dzik of St. Paul, Minnesota

             Eileen & husband John Tittle of St. Paul, Minnesota

             Anne & husband Mike Chapman of Sun City, Arizona

             Grace & husband Mark Felion, of St. Paul, Minnesota

Brother-In-Law: Ron Meier of St. Francis, Minnesota

Mother-In-Law: Berdina Houlden of Elwood, Nebraska
