Elwood, Nebraska

Katharine Elaine LeDuke, age 71, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born May 31, 1941 at Oak Park, Illinois to Elmer and Mary Nell (Barber) Claus.

On January 1, 1972 she married Donald Michael LeDuke at West Palm Beach, Florida and would renew their vows on October 18, 1980.  In March of 1984, they moved to Elwood, Nebraska. In 1990, they would move to Illinois and in September 1994, would move back to the Smithfield and Elwood, Nebraska area.

She was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood. She was a happy person because of a strong faith in the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, brother John Claus, son Keith Auz, step-son Scott LeDuke.

She is survived her son Kenneth & wife Sally Auz of Wisconsin

                      Daughter:  Kimberly & husband Dustin Hiesel of Wisconsin

               Step Daughter: Shawn LeDuke of Florida

              Step Son: Michael LeDuke of Nevada

            Brother: Leonard & wife Beverly Claus of Illinois

      Sister-In-Law: Beverly & husband Dave Sweet of Massachusetts

                              Phyllis & husband Ed Sheffington of Old Town, Maine

     5 Grandchildren                               4 Step-Grandchildren

Katharine chose to donate her body to the Nebraska State Anatomical Board. Inurnment will be at a later date at Cisne Cemetery in Cisni, Illinois. Elwood Funeral Home, of Elwood, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
