Kenneth C. Munson, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at his home in Elwood, Nebraska. He was born on September 16, 1930 south of Imperial, Nebraska in Dundy County to Bert L. & Alice M. (Benson) Munson.
He attended country school until the 8th grade and then attended Chase County High School in Imperial, Nebraska. He then served in the US Navy. After his discharge, he farmed in Chase County, Nebraska for a number of years. In March of 1955 he married Barbara Coleman, to this union was born one daughter; Rhonda. He would drive a truck for Little Audrey Company for 10 years hauling from coast to coast. He would also work as a ditch rider for Tri County for 10 years. On August 29, 1975 he married Maria "Mary" M. Maes at McCook, Nebraska. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church of Holdrege, Elwood American Legion Post #290 and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, brothers Jack & Don Munson, step-granddaughter Cindi Lovitt.
He is survived by daughter Rhoni Ahomas of Midvale, Utah

Sister-In-Law: Sandy Munson of Milford, Nebraska

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6 PM till 8 PM at Elwood Funeral Home, Elwood, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Friday, September 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Elwood Funeral Home, Elwood, Nebraska with Rev. Johnny Walker, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Nebraska with military rites presented by Elwood American Legion Post #290. Elwood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
