Lola Irene Debban, age 91, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska. She was born on March 27, 1933, at Elwood, Nebraska to Otto and Elizabeth (DeBoer) Hansen.
She was raised in Elwood, and was baptized on March 24, 1940 at Elwood Methodist Church. She attended school and graduated from Elwood High School with the Class of 1950. On February 24, 1952, she married William L. Debban at the Elwood Methodist Church. They made their home in Elwood and she would work as a bookkeeper for Independent Oil Company and Elwood 66 Service for 14 years. She also was a bookkeeper for Farmers Coop Association for 10 years. She continued to work many more years at the Elwood Care Center.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She spent many hours in her lawn working with flowers.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, daughter Debra Ann, and son Jeffrey Scott Debban.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Valorie (Rob) Wallace, Lisa (Mike) Koch, Jan (John) Raine, Keith Debban, daughter-in-law Celeste Debban, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
