Stephanie Kay Hackbart

Stephanie Kay Hackbart, age 54, of Elwood, Nebraska died Monday, December 16, 2019, at her home. She was born May 12, 1965 in Lexington, Nebraska to Buzz and Dixie (Renker) Jorges. She was born in Lexington and moved around until she landed in Sidney. There she married David Rosenbaum and had two kids. Later she married Scott Hackbart and they had 4 boys. The whole family would travel for her husband’s work. She would care for the kids and the home. They decided to make Elwood their home and continued to make a home for her family. Keeping track of 4 boys is a full time job. She was always supporting her kids in school and all their activities. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to concerts. She is survived by her mother Dixie Thompson of Elwood, Nebraska, daughter Shaton (Travis) Arellano of Sidney, Nebraska, sons Chase & Kolden Hackbart of Lexington, Zach Hackbart of Elwood, Nebraska, and Tyelon Hackbart of Lexington, sister Melissa (Tom) Martin of Elwood, brother Dean (Trista) Jorges, 2 grandchildren; Stella & Tyse. She was preceded in death by her father Buzz, sister Ambra Marshall, and daughter Destiny. Funeral services will be Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2 PM at Elwood United Methodist Church, Elwood, Nebraska with Pastor Darrel Wissmann, officiating. Interment will be at Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Nebraska. Elwood Funeral Home, Elwood, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
